My name is Margita Gjonca Koçiu, an Albanian American citizen born in Vlore, Albania, and currently residing in Chicago, Illinois. I have a professional background as an Attorney in Albania, where I still maintain my office and practice. After experiencing both the private and public sectors in Albania, I decided to further my education and career in the United States. I successfully completed my LL.M Degree, specializing in “U.S International and Transnational Law,” at the University of Chicago-Kent College of Law-Illinois Institute of Technology. Currently, I am pursuing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at the same university with the ultimate goal of practicing law as an attorney in the United States.
My family has a remarkable 20-year experience in the field of law and legal services, which has been passed down through generations. We established the first legal office in Vlore in the early 2000s and have been dedicated to practicing the legal profession and providing notary services in Albania. Our expertise lies in matters related to inheritance rights, contract law, and executing various legal acts that require notarization.
